Anytime another person’s character or physical attributes is denigrated,…it is offensive! :/

i dont know about its excessive use in Huck Finn but i will tell you one thing: am an African woman, born and bred, just came to the UK recently and i have never to this date understood why black people (read the descendats of slaves, the ones who were born and bred in America or Britain or the Carribean and stuff, basically the ones who have never been to Africa and dont know anything about it) use this word among each other with so much ease!…is it a way of them getting over slavery?, i dont know, is it a way of them mocking the white man?, i still dont know…but one thing am going to tell you is that if white people call them niggers…yes its going to be offensive because what is the white man going to be thinking till he calls the black man a nigger? definetly not positive thoughts…as for Africans, they never call each other niggers coz they are not, and white people dont call African niggers either…need i say why?? both Africans and the white men know that they are not niggers coz they remained in Africa, did not undergo slavery…had no one to call them niggers in the way the slaves did…so to African the word does not exist and they dont get affected by its mention whatsoever…pardon this essay, you blog is well super!!!
